Arkham Wallet Alert Setup and Matching Transfer Review

Arkham wallet alerts notify you when blockchain transfers match the conditions that you configure. Start with the address or entity, choose the transfer direction and narrow the rule by chain, token or value. Review the preview before activating the alert, then inspect each matching transaction before deciding whether the rule needs adjustment.

A useful alert describes a specific event closely enough to exclude unrelated activity. The main choices concern what the rule watches, which transfers qualify and where notifications arrive. These choices also determine how you investigate an unexpected match.

An alert's usefulness depends on whether its address, direction, token and chain filters describe the transfers you actually want to review.

A Single Address Keeps the Watch Narrow

An address filter fits a task that concerns one wallet, while an entity filter extends monitoring to the addresses that the platform groups together. That difference matters before you add token or value conditions. A broader selection changes the activity that can qualify, even when every other setting stays unchanged.

Choose the sending side for outgoing transfers and the receiving side for incoming transfers. A rule covering either direction answers a broader question about activity involving the selected address. Keep the original wallet address available when using an entity label, because the label alone does not identify which constituent address participated in a notification. Entity monitoring relies on the platform's address grouping.

Chain and Token Settings Define Eligible Transfers

Chain and token compatibility determine whether an alert can describe the transfer that interests you. The intended network and asset must be available in the alert controls. Do not substitute a similarly named token or another network merely to finish the setup. An unavailable selection leaves that monitoring task unresolved.

Amount and value filters answer different questions. Token amount measures the quantity transferred; USD value measures its dollar valuation. A price change can therefore affect a value-based comparison without changing the token quantity. Choose the measurement that matches your task, and read any boundary operator before relying on a transfer exactly at the threshold.

Parameter Configured Value Matching Condition
Chain A supported blockchain selected in the alert The transfer must occur on the selected chain.
Token The selected token The transferred asset must match the token selection.
Token Amount The quantity condition entered by the user The transferred quantity must satisfy that condition.

These parameters describe filter choices, not fixed product limits. Arkham alert configuration includes separate Token Amount and USD Value filters.

How Do You Create a Wallet Alert?

You create a wallet alert by signing in, opening Alerts and selecting Create Alert, then entering the transfer conditions and choosing a notification method. The account provides access to the saved alert configuration. The wallet address supplies the monitoring target; keep that distinction clear when completing the form.

Give the alert a descriptive name that identifies its purpose. Direction and token context make similar rules easier to distinguish later. The name helps with organization, while the configured filters determine matching behavior. Before activation, read the selected conditions together as a sentence: the chosen sender or recipient transfers the selected asset on the selected chain under the specified amount or value condition.

Preview Matches Reveal an Overbroad Rule

The alert preview provides sample matches before activation, which makes it useful for spotting a direction or scope mistake before notifications start arriving.

Compare the preview with the activity that you intended to monitor. An unexpected recipient points toward a different issue than an unexpected token. Changing both filters at once makes the cause harder to isolate. Preserve the settings that already describe the task, and adjust the smallest condition that explains the mismatch. Once the selected conditions describe the intended activity, activate the alert and confirm that it appears among your active alerts.

An empty preview is inconclusive. It does not demonstrate that a future matching transfer cannot occur, and it does not establish successful notification delivery.

What Should You Inspect in a Matching Transfer?

A matching transfer deserves inspection of its transaction identifier, chain, sender, recipient and transferred amount, because those details connect the notification to a specific blockchain record. Each alert includes a link to its transaction. Compare the event time with the notification time rather than treating receipt of the message as the moment the transfer occurred.

The transaction identifier provides a stable way to distinguish records on the relevant chain. The transaction view can show status, addresses, timestamp and transferred value. Keep token quantity separate from dollar valuation during this review. A difference in valuation does not necessarily mean that the token amount differs. Check the transaction's status before treating an attempted action as a completed transfer.

For an entity alert, inspect the actual participating address before assigning the activity to the whole group. The Profiler's transaction log adds counterparty, chain, token and amount context. A transaction map can help explain relationships when the immediate counterparty needs investigation, without turning every notification into a full tracing exercise.

A transfer notification alone does not explain the owner's motive or establish a purchase or sale.

Pausing Preserves the Rule During Corrections

Pausing fits a rule that needs correction but may remain useful, while deletion fits monitoring that you no longer intend to maintain. Arkham supports editing, pausing and resuming alerts. Its management view lists active and paused rules alongside their filters, so compare the saved configuration with the event that prompted your review.

Pause the alert, then record the disputed transaction and the relevant settings before changing the rule. That preserves the reason for the correction and avoids repeatedly altering unrelated filters. Resume only when the configuration again describes the intended activity. If the required chain or token is unavailable, leave the rule paused rather than replacing the intended target with a different asset or network.

Practical questions about Arkham

Can Wallet Alerts Arrive by Email Instead of a Messaging App?

Wallet alerts support email delivery, alongside Telegram and webhooks. Choose the method in the alert configuration that matches where you intend to review notifications. A webhook sends information to a receiving service, so it requires a working destination rather than an inbox. Consider who can access that destination, especially when notifications reveal which addresses you monitor.

Where Can I Check My Wallet Alert Notification Allowance?

The Alerts page displays notification rate limits and usage in its usage panel. Read the allowance shown for your account instead of assuming a fixed number applies to everyone. This is separate from the conditions that determine whether a transaction matches. When investigating missing messages, account usage belongs alongside the rule's active state and its delivery configuration.

Does a USD Value Filter Alert Me When a Token Reaches a Particular Price?

A wallet alert's USD value filter concerns the value of a transfer, rather than a standalone token-price target. Transfer value depends on both the quantity moved and its valuation. A larger transfer can satisfy the condition without the token reaching any particular unit price. Use this filter when the size of the transfer is the event that you want to monitor.

Are Featured Alerts Suitable for Monitoring One Specific Wallet?

A featured alert is suitable only when its configured scope matches the wallet activity that you want to monitor. Featured alerts provide prebuilt starting points, and their existing criteria may cover broader activity. Inspect the target and filters before enabling one. Creating a custom alert is the clearer choice when the featured configuration does not describe your intended address and transfer conditions.
